Rates are an annual charge made to residents living or owning property within the Town. Your rates help to fund the infrastructure, facilities and services needed by our community.

Pay online
Before you begin, please have your latest rates notice handy as you will need to quote your assessment number.
Pay rates online
Pay by BPAY
You can use BPAY to pay your rates via your online, mobile or phone banking. You will need to have your rates notice handy with your 10 digit reference number and biller code, which is shown on the bottom of your notice.
Pay by phone
Payment can be made by credit card by phoning 1300 276 468. Please have your rates notice with you when paying by phone.
Pay in person
You can pay your rates in person at our Customer Service Centre located at 46 Old Perth Road, Bassendean. Office hours are Monday to Friday 9:00am – 4:30pm.
We accept cash, cheque and EFTPOS.

Please retain the top of your rate notice as your record as receipts will not be issued.
Payment dates
You can choose to pay your rates in full or by instalments.
Instalment payments must be received by the due date and will incur additional fees and interest (Eligible pensioners are exempt).

Payment difficulties
If you’re having difficulty paying your rates by the due date, contact the Town to discuss your options. We have a several payment options, including instalment and payment plan arrangements to ease the financial burden. It’s best to contact the Town’s Rates team on 9377 8000 as soon as possible so we can find the right payment solution for you.
Financial hardship
The Town has a Financial Hardship Policy designed to help people unable to pay their rates due to financial hardship. Financial hardship is when rate payments and service charges will affect a person’s ability to meet their basic living needs.

Register to receive your rates notice via email by signing up to e-Rates. Once you’re registered, you will no longer receive your rates notices via mail.

Pensioners and seniors concessions
If you have a valid concession card, you may qualify for a rates rebate or deferment.
To apply for a pensioner or senior rebate, apply online on the Water Corporation website or contact the Water Corporation on 1300 659 951.
The concession will apply from the date your application is received by the Water Corporation.
