Switch Your Thinking has partnered with the Western Australian Government to deliver an Energy Efficiency Pilot Program in collaboration with local governments, aimed at building energy literacy and implementing energy efficiency measures.
As part of the program, the Town of Bassendean offers residents access to a Do-It-Yourself Home Energy Audit Kit.
The kit includes an instruction manual and tools, including a:
- Thermal imaging camera to help you locate draughts around your home and gaps in insulation, for checking fridge seals, and measuring hot water temperature.
- Plug-in energy monitor for measuring energy consumption and the running costs of appliances.
- Basin flow measuring cup to determine the water flow rate of your taps
The kit is FREE to loan from Bassendean Memorial Library.
