Compassionate Waste Services

You may apply for increased bin capacity on compassionate grounds, such as having a medical condition that increases the quantity of waste you produce, or which makes correct sorting difficult.

You must be receiving a Commonwealth benefit or pension to receive compassionate waste services at no cost (You will need to provide evidence).

Having a large family is not considered a reason for a compassionate service.

Applications for compassionate services are required to be supported by a medical professional or reasonable evidence of medical condition.

Residents receiving Compassionate Waste Services (who are the property owner) must not be in arrears for payment of rates or waste charges, without a payment plan in place.
