Bassendean Community Awards 2026

The Town of Bassendean 2026 Community Awards are an exciting opportunity to recognise and celebrate the outstanding contributions of individuals, community groups, and businesses within our town.

These awards honour those who have made a significant impact, demonstrating excellence and leadership in our community.

The winners will be announced at the 2026 Thank A Volunteer event, scheduled for early December this year.

Award Categories

  • Community Citizen of the Year – recognises an individual who has made a significant contribution, brought about positive change, or enhanced connection and inclusion within the local community.
  • Senior Community Citizen of the Year – recognises an individual aged 65 years or over who has made an outstanding contribution to the community.
  • Young Community Citizen of the Year – recognises an individual aged 16 – 25 years who has made an outstanding contribution to the community.
  • Active Citizenship Award – presented to an individual or group who has made a significant contribution in any of the following sub-categories:
    • Environmental or Waterwise initiatives
    • Creating Economic Benefit
    • Contribution to Arts & Culture
    • Access & Inclusion Initiative or Program
    • Building an Active & Healthy Community

To submit a nomination:

  • complete the online form below, or
  • download and post or deliver a completed printed form to our Customer Service Centre.

All nominations must be submitted by 15 October 2026.
