Jubilee Reserve Clubrooms Redevelopment

Jubilee Reserve is one of the most popular sporting grounds in the Town, home to a variety of sporting codes including soccer, football, cricket and little athletics. Responding to current needs, particularly with the rise in female participation in sport, the redevelopment will transform Jubilee Reserve into a flexible, multi-use sporting hub. The upgraded facilities will provide modern, shared, and accessible amenities for user groups, local clubs, and the wider community.

Key upgrades in this project include:

  • An upgraded Stan Moses Pavilion with all-abilities access, improved storage, and improved viewing areas both undercover and a proposed wrap around balcony.
  • New community meeting and activity spaces to support local groups and events.
  • Upgraded public toilet facilities.
  • New unisex changerooms to accommodate increasing female participation in sport.
  • Extension and refurbishment of the Caledonian Soccer Club clubrooms, including at least two additional unisex changerooms.
  • Improved accessibility with installation of a lift

The redevelopment is supported by $2.6 million from the State Government, $2.6 million from the Federal Government, and a $2 million contribution from the Town of Bassendean.

This project is part of the WA Government’s PlayOn WA, an exciting initiative to deliver 2,030 community infrastructure items across WA by 2030.

The Town has committed an additional $1.6 million to reticulation and lighting upgrades at the Reserve, supported by a $570,000 grant from the Department of Creative Industries Tourism and Sport.

The irrigation upgrade will see the installation of a new automatic system to replace ageing infrastructure, while the new LED floodlights will reduce energy use, improve lighting quality, and provide more reliable facilities for clubs and the community.

The Town of Bassendean thanks the Federal and State Governments for their support and looks forward to working with local clubs, stakeholders, and the community to bring these transformative projects to life.
