This year’s Verge Rebate Program is now complete, achieving the highest level of community participation to date!

The program provides eligible residents with the opportunity to apply to receive a rebate of up to $500 to transform their grass or hardstand verges into waterwise gardens.

This year, the Town received 32 expressions of interest, with 26 verge transformations completed, achieving an 81% completion rate.

This is both the highest number of applications and completed projects in the program's history.

Through the program this year:

• 682 waterwise plants installed.
• 10 new street trees planted by the Town on verges that previously had no street trees or space for more trees.
• Approximately 1,360m² of verge area transformed.

These excellent results will help to green our Town, improving biodiversity and increasing urban canopy and shade.

A job well done by our green-thumbed residents!
