The Town of Bassendean has adopted the Activities in Thoroughfares and Public Places and Trading Local Law 2026, which will come into operation on 24 July 2026.

The purpose of the Local Law is to provide for regulation, control and management of activities in public places and thoroughfares (road reserves) within the district.

The effect of the Local Law is to establish the requirements with which any persons using, or on, thoroughfares and public property within the district, must comply.
