Major irrigation and lighting upgrades at Jubilee Reserve are progressing well, with full completion expected by end of February 2026.
The irrigation system is essentially complete and was delivered ahead of schedule.
Designed by a Certified Irrigation Designer (CID) to industry best standards, the system improves water efficiency and turf quality through more uniform distribution and hydro-zone principles.
This means water is spread evenly and managed in zones, so irrigation can be scheduled more accurately and groundwater use controlled.
Soon, an iron filtration system will be connected to improve water quality, reduce staining, and cut down on long-term maintenance.
The lighting upgrade is also advancing. Footings were installed before Christmas, and concrete pouring is scheduled for mid-January. After a two-week curing period, new poles and luminaires will be installed, followed by electrical board upgrades and Western Power connection. Energisation is anticipated by the end of February.
These improvements represent a $1.6 million investment by the Town, with the lighting upgrade supported by a $570,000 State Government grant through the Department of Creative Industries, Tourism and Sport.
