The Request for Quotation (RFQ) is complete, with HEXA Commercial Property (HEXA) appointed as the successful respondent for RFQ 26/2026 – Wind in the Willows.   

HEXA will undertake independent property and business valuations relating to the Wind in the Willows Early Childhood Education and Care Services. 

The appointment follows Council’s resolution at its Ordinary Council Meeting on 28 April 2026, which included obtaining updated independent valuations to inform the future direction of the services. 

The valuation work will consider the Wilson Street and Ashfield childcare sites, together with other potential property options. It will provide the Town with current commercial information to help assess possible sale, lease, redevelopment and transition options. 

The valuations will also assist the Town in preparing a future Expression of Interest process for a suitably qualified not-for-profit or community-based provider, consistent with the Council resolution. 

The appointment relates to the valuation work only. No appointment has been made for the future Expression of Interest process. 

The valuation inspections are expected to commence this week.
