Throughout the festive period in December 2025 and early January 2026, the Town will have adjusted operating hours.

The operating hours will be as follows:

Customer Service Centre, Administration Office and Library

• Closing at 12pm on Friday 19 December and reopening at 9am as per usual on Monday 21 December 2025.
• Closed from Wednesday 24 December 2025 and reopening Monday 5 January 2026.

Depot

• Closing at 12pm on Friday 19 December.
• Close from 12pm of Wednesday 24 December and reopening on Monday 5 January 2026.

Ranger Services

• No service on Christmas Day.
• Operating hours are 8am to 5pm on public holidays.
• All other days will operate with standard hours of 7am to 6pm weekdays, 8m to 5pm Saturdays and 8am to 4:30pm Sundays.

Closed from Monday 21 December 2025 and reopening Monday 5 January 2025.

Kerbside bin collection and waste services

The Town of Bassendean will provide additional bin collections over the holiday period.

From Tuesday 22 December 2025 through to Friday 2 January 2026, residents can put out all three bins each week: General Waste, FOGO and Recycling.

Due to there being no bin collections on Christmas Day or New Years Day, bins will be collected a day later than usual for the following scheduled collections:

• Thursday 25 December and Friday 26 December 2025
• Thursday 1 January and Friday 2 January 2026

In areas where bins are usually collected on Thursdays, they will be collected on the Friday. For areas where they are usually collected on Fridays, bins will be collected on the Saturday.

Red Hill Waste Management Facility will be closed on Christmas Day and New Years Day. Baywaste will be closed on Christmas Day, Boxing Day and New Years Day.
