The Town celebrates the achievements of young people within the community and seeks to support their aspirations, personal development, and continued success by reducing financial barriers to participation.
The Dudley Robinson Youth Excellence Grant supports local young people in pursuing excellence within their chosen field. The grant assists eligible young residents to participate in significant sporting, performance arts, academic, or leadership activities, particularly where they have been selected to participate at a state, national, or international level.
Eligible applicants can apply for a grant of up to $500 per financial year.
To be considered, applicants must be a Town of Bassendean resident aged 12 to 18 years and have been selected to represent an eligible activity at a state, national or international level.
Funding Categories
There are four categories covered by this grant:
- Sport: Individuals selected by an accepted sporting governing body to represent the State or Commonwealth in a recognised sporting event.
- Performance Arts: Individuals selected by an accepted performing arts body to represent the State or Commonwealth in a recognised competition.
- Academic discipline: High achieving individuals selected by a recognised educational institution to represent the State or Commonwealth at an academic or educational event.
- Youth leadership: Individuals selected to undertake youth leadership training delivered by a recognised organization. T
How to Apply:
Complete the online application form and include evidence from an officially recognised organisation. The supporting evidence should clearly show details and dates of the event/ activity and confirm the intention to attend.
