Proposed Use Not Listed (Short Stay Accommodation) – 5B Hardy Road, Bassendean (Closed)

The Town has received an application for a proposed use not listed (short stay accommodation) at the above-mentioned property. This is to enable the property to be used for short term leasing and advertised for on host plat forms such as Airbnb and Stayz.

 A summary of the proposal is detailed below:

 A Maximum of eight guests permitted at the property at one time

  • No parties or events are permitted.
  • House rules state that no excessive noise is permitted between 11pm and 9am
  • Check in is from 10am.
  • Check out is 10am.
  • The owner is responsible for the handling of complaints
  • A register of complaints will be kept and available to the Town’s staff on request.
  • The application advises the owner contact details will be provided to adjoining neighbours.
  • Guest parking will be contained within the lot.
  • No visitors other than guests who are booked to stay at the property are permitted without approval from the manager.
  • CCTV is available to the owner to help manage the property

 In support of the application, the applicant has prepared a management plan which is available for review.
