The Town of Bassendean has received an application for to establish a ‘Garden Centre’ at the southern portion of Lot 69 (No. 14-16) Jackson Street, Bassendean. The Garden Centre is proposed to occupy approximately 2,500sqm (18%) of the site and involves the storage and sale of garden and landscaping products (soil, rocks, mulch, aggregates ect).

‘Garden Centre’ is a use that is not listed as permissible or otherwise in the ‘General Industry’ zone under the Town’s Local Planning Scheme No. 10. In accordance with the Planning and Development (Local Planning Scheme) Regulations 2015 the Town is required to seek comment on the proposal from owners and occupiers of nearby properties prior to determining the application.
