CT2022-127 - Consultation - Lot 1 (No. 88) Reid Street, Ashfield (Closed)

The Town has received an application for a proposed Use Not Listed (short stay accommodation) at Lot 1 (No. 88) Reid Street, Ashfield. This is to enable the property to be advertised on host platforms such as Airbnb and Stayz for short term leasing.


A summary of the proposed development is as follows:


  • Check-in would be generally from 2pm to 10pm and check-out is from 7am to 10am. The property manager or owners would meet every guest at or shortly after their arrival time.
  • Amplified music outside, or inside if the windows / doors are not closed will be prohibited.
  • Use of the side alfresco area will be prohibited before 7am and after 10pm which will help minimise excessive noise to adjacent neighbours.
  • No parties or events are permitted.
  • The property would only be permitted to be booked for a minimum of two nights.
  • Two guest car parking bays will be provided within the lot. No verge or street parking will be permitted.
  • The neighbours are to be provided with a copy of the code of conduct, as well as contact phone numbers of the property manager and owners.


  • Complaints will be handled through the property manager or owners.
