Residents/ratepayers can register for the hardstand areas (kerbs and footpaths) adjacent to their property to be left untreated with herbicides. The “No Spray” list only applies to local government road reserves and activities of the Town of Bassendean and its contractors.

Registration to the “No Spray” list requires residents/ratepayers to commit to maintaining their verge in a weed-free condition. The Town reserves the right to apply herbicides should the above condition not be met. Applicants will be required to confirm their contact details annually.

Properties on the "No Spray" list will have identifying line markings painted on the road/footpath in front of the property to provide a visual cue for the operator to cease spraying. Properties that register after the deadline will have the line markings applied prior to the following treatment round. E.g. Properties that apply after the April deadline will have the line markings applied prior to the August treatment round.
