Hanwell Way Community Men’s Shed

Hanwell Way Men’s Shed operates on the site of the Baptist Church in Bassendean at 33 Hanwell Way.  The Shed’s sole purpose is reaching out to men with challenges, be it physical or mental, in order to give them a sense of purpose and well-being.

Every Tuesday, members attend, accompanied by their carers, to participate in a range of projects in a safe setting, undertaking simple hands-on woodwork including garden seats, picture frames and clocks.  The opportunity also provides a valuable opportunity to connect with others, learn and form friendships.

The Hanwell Way Men’s Shed is a member of the MSofWA (Men's Shed of Western Australia) and also AMSA (Australian Men's Association).

The core group responsible for establishing the Men’s Shed is currently investigating how they can now expand their knowledge of how to understand and best support men with challenges.

If you would like to volunteer to support the work of the Men’s Shed or alternatively if you know someone who may benefit being part of the Men’s Shed, please contact Steve Brown (Chairman) on:
