The Town of Bassendean is pleased to bring back the Plants to Residents and Trees to Residents programs for 2026.

This popular initiative offers subsidised plants and trees to residents, helping them to embrace waterwise gardening and play their part in increasing the Town’s tree canopy, urban cooling and improving biodiversity.

Plants to Residents

In partnership with EnviroHouse, the Town is offering residents and residential property owners the opportunity to purchase up to 20 native, waterwise plants at a subsidised rate of $1 per plant.

Early bird tickets for Plants to Residents program will be available at the April Bassendean Markets held at Bic Reserve on 25 April 2026.

Tickets for the Plants to Residents Program go on sale at 9am Tuesday 28 April 2026 in person at EnviroHouse or online. Book tickets online.

This initiative is proudly co-funded by Water Corporation’s Waterwise Greening Scheme and forms part of our ambition for the Town of Bassendean to be a leading waterwise city.

Trees to Residents

Residents and residential property owners can buy up to 5 trees (175-200mm pot size) at a subsidised rate of $5 per tree, for planting within their property.
