Summer Reading Quest – EPIC ADVENTURES AWAIT

Past Event

During the January summer school holidays, Western Australian Public Libraries are promoting an amazing new Summer Reading Quest. The Quest is open to children of all ages and runs from 18 December 2021 – 31 January 2022. Children can jump into this reading quest in a number of ways: Adventure Cards (for ages 6 and over) Reading challenge cards that encourage children to complete literacy activities. There are nine Adventure Card sheets. We have numbered the sheets 1- 9, to help kids power their way through each activity sheet. Collect a spot prize from your library when a page of challenges is completed. Reading Log (for ages 6 and over) A calendar-style reading log to record the number of days and time read over the holidays. Collect a spot prize for 5 hours or days reading in a row. Summer Steps Card (for ages 5 and under) A thirty day activity quest for the little ones to do with family and friends and their favourite books. Collect a spot prize from your library when the 30 challenges are completed. How to participate: Pick up a reading log/ adventure card/summer step card from your local Library. Collect spot prizes from the Library as you complete challenges. Submit all your finished log/card sheets by Friday 11 February 2022. Every card sheet and reading log submitted goes into the draw to win amazing state-wide prizes.
