Help local seniors by driving for the Town of Bassendean Volunteer Transport Service

The Town of Bassendean is seeking people who want to make a meaningful impact in the lives of Bassendean seniors as volunteer drivers for the Volunteer Transport Service. Volunteer drivers will need to be available between 8am and 3pm on one or two weekdays each week, hold a current C class driver’s licence, a current police clearance, live close to the Bassendean area and be able to commit to volunteering for one year or more. For safety, volunteer drivers will undertake training before driving for the service.

When suitable volunteer drivers have been recruited, the Town plans to launch the Volunteer Transport Service: a shuttle service for ambulant seniors in the Town who require assistance in reaching community activities, shopping, and medical appointments in proximity to Bassendean.

To express your interest in becoming a volunteer driver, please complete the online form. For further information, email [email protected] or call 08 9377 2191.
