The Town of Bassendean Children’s Services operates two early childhood Centres both of which ‘exceed’ the NQS; Wind in the Willows. Wind in the Willows are places where childhood is cherished and children have a right to be heard. The dynamic and highly qualified team work respectfully and cohesively in the best interest of the children and the community. 

We are seeking a self-motivated and vibrant Educator to join our fantastic team at the Wind in the Willows. The successful applicant will demonstrate high levels of teamwork ethic as well as a passion for upholding the rights of the child in accordance with the ECA code of ethics. Positivity, honesty and an ability to build respectful reciprocal relationships with children, families and each other are essential.

If you are a nurturing, highly skilled and dedicated early childhood professional then we would love to hear from you.

A minimum Certificate III or Diploma in Early Childhood Education. A valid Working with Children Check and police clearance is also required prior to commencement. Any additional skills, talents and interests such as music, dance or drama would also be desirable.


This position is temporary to 17 December 2021.

Working Hours

Working hours are 37.5 per week, Monday to Friday based on a rotating roster of the Centre’s operational hours, 7am to 6pm.

Salary and Benefits

This position is classified Level 2/3, dependent upon qualifications with a salary range of $51,613 to $59,005 plus 9.5% superannuation.
