CT - Use Not Listed (Short Stay Accommodation) – 52 Broadway, Bassendean (DA REF: 2023-015) (Closed)


The Town has received an application for a proposed Use Not Listed (short stay accommodation) at the above-mentioned property. This is to enable the property to be used for short-term leasing and advertised for use on host platforms such as Airbnb and Stayz.

A summary of the proposed development is as follows:

 Check-in would be from 2 pm, and check-out is 10 am.

  • A maximum of six (6) guests is permitted to be on the property between 10 pm and 7 am.
  • The application is accompanied by a management plan and a guest code of conduct.
  • The management plan/code of conduct forbids excessive and disruptive noise, and failure to adhere to this may result in the termination of the stay.
  • A 24/7 Customer Support team will be available to guests and concerned nearby landowners to address any issues.
  • No unauthorised guests are permitted on the premises without prior consent from the host.
  • No parties or events are permitted.
  • Four (4) guest car parking bays will be provided within the lot. No verge or street parking will be permitted.
