Hofmann Engineering to manufacture for METRONET trains

Bassendean company Hofmann Engineering has been appointed by Alstom to manufacture the bogie frames for the new Perth METRONET C-series trains.

Bassendean-based company Hofmann Engineering – at the forefront of innovation in engineering over the last 50 years - can now add Perth METRONET railcar bogies to the list of sophisticated components they produce for defence vehicles, trains, mining equipment and much more. The bogies are to be used on the new C-Series railcars, that will be manufactured and assembled locally at Bellevue. Bogies are a key part of rail cars – they support the body and house the wheels and traction and braking equipment.
