The Garden Gurus recently visited Mayor Renee McLennan to learn about the new Three Bin FOGO system. 

The Town of Bassendean was the first northern suburbs council to provide a three bin Food Organics Garden Organics (FOGO) system for its residents. So far, the efforts of the community have reduced CO2 equivalent by 270 tonnes. This is the same as taking 59 cars off the road for one year.  The contents of the new bin will be used to create a quality soil improver which can be returned to soils in the Town of Bassendean.
