At its 27 June 2023 Ordinary Meeting, Council resolved to endorse the proposed creation of the Earlsferry Court heritage area and an amended draft Local Planning Policy – Heritage and Character, for the purpose of advertising.  

The amended Local Planning Policy will impact all properties contained within the proposed Earlsferry Court Heritage Area.  The purpose is to:

• Conserve and protect character and heritage within the Town; and
• Provide development guidelines for properties within the identified heritage area and properties on the heritage list.

Submissions close 5:00pm 22 November 2023

Following the close of the submission period, Council will review the submissions and consider the designation of the Earlsferry Court heritage area and the draft Local Planning Policy – Heritage and Character for final approval. 

Copies of the draft local planning policy and a map of the heritage area are provided below, at the Customer Service Centre (35 Old Perth Road, Bassendean) and the Bassendean Library.
