The Town of Bassendean is embarking on a significant phase of its Town Centre Masterplan, which was adopted in November 2021 to realise the community's aspirations for a for a dynamic Town Centre. In line with this vision, the Town invites tender applications for two pivotal projects: the development of a Precinct Structure Plan for the Bassendean Town Centre and a feasibility study and masterplan for the rejuvenation of the Bassendean Oval precinct.

The Precinct Structure Plan aims to catalyse growth and rejuvenation in the Town Centre, to facilitate its evolution into a vibrant retail, commercial, employment, and mixed-use hub. The revitalisation of the Bassendean Oval precinct aims to deliver a shared sports and leisure space that better meets the needs of the community and Swan Districts Football Club, catering to present and future requirements.

Upon completion, the draft Precinct Structure Plan and the Bassendean Oval feasibility study will undergo a public consultation process to gather feedback and insights from residents and stakeholders.
