The Town of Bassendean is pleased to announce the appointment of Shane Asmus as the Director of Infrastructure and Sustainability. With over three decades of experience in local government, Shane brings a wealth of knowledge, particularly from his 18 years in senior management roles. Serving as the Manager of Engineering Services at the City of Gosnells for the past six years, Shane has also held similar roles at the City of Armadale and the City of Subiaco.

Shane holds formal qualifications in Civil Engineering and Project Management, underpinning his expertise. Shanes displays executive level leadership skills and is a natural at building relationships with stakeholders at all levels.

Driven by a desire for a new challenge, Shane identified the Town of Bassendean as the perfect environment for his advancement to a Director-level role in local government.

The Town anticipates Shane’s valuable contributions and welcomes him to Team Bassendean as of 27 May 2024.
