Free Youth Theatre Program at Bassendean Library

Join the WA Youth Theatre Company over eight weeks to learn fundamentals of theatre, develop your acting skills, and have loads of fun! Students from aged 11 to 14 years old of any experience level welcome!

Wednesdays, 4.30pm – 5.30pm in the Library Meeting Room 1. Registrations are essential

  • 1 May - Introduction - Voice Fundamentals
  • 8 May - Voice & Ensemble Work
  • 15 May - Exploring Text with the Voice
  • 22 May - Creating Characters
  • 29 May - Create Your Own Scenes
  • 5 June - Scene Work
  • 12 June - Rehearsal for Open Session
  • 19 June - Open Session

Use Your Voice!

Term 2 2024 is a chance for committed young actors to explore their voice and develop characterisation skills. This course will draw from techniques which cultivate stage presence, character delivery and spontaneity.
