Historic Homes in Bassendean walk

Walk around Bassendean with an experienced volunteer guide and learn about some amazing places and architecture including Daylesford House and Holme House. Start and finish at Bassendean Primary School.

Meet outside of Bassendean Primary School at the administration centre (West Road) at 9.45am for 10am start.  Duration 2 hours. Parking available at Harcourt Street 

Participants walk at their own risk.

River Walk

Stroll along the Swan River in Bassendean from Point Reserve to Success Hill and return to Point Reserve with an experienced volunteer guide.

Learn about local history including interesting people, architecture and natural features. Meet at Point Reserve 9.45am for 10am start. Duration 2 hours.  Please park in top carpark.  Walk at your own risk.

No booking required.

Walking Trails

Bassendean has some great 30 minute short walks for visitors and tourists. Take a walk through the heart of historic Bassendean village itself; or take a stroll through Eden Hill parklands; or the Ashfield Flats wetland sanctuary on the Swan River.

Bassendean Walking Group

Fun and Fitness in the outdoors - walking in company with others who enjoy taking in the environment whilst keeping fit.  

We meet each Monday morning 9.00am in and around the Bassendean area.
Also Monday and Wednesday 6.15pm and Saturday morning 8.00am.
We walk for approximately 1 hour.
