Thank a Volunteer Day ( International Volunteer Day IVD) , mandated by the UN General Assembly, is celebrated around the world on 5 December each year and recognises the outstanding contribution that volunteers make in their communities. Our volunteers, support community groups, the environment, sporting clubs, schools and other not for profit organisations and are at the heart of the Town of Bassendean.
