Partial lane closures on the Midland Line principal shared path

Cyclists and pedestrians will need to exercise caution during partial lane closures on the Midland Line principal shared path (PSP), between Claisebrook and Bassendean due to upcoming works.

On occasion, work will require one lane of the PSP to be blocked (fenced) to allow for excavation. The adjacent lane will remain open to allow pedestrian and cyclist thoroughfare. No diversions are required.
These works are in preparation for the new Bayswater Station and will include the installation of a new cable route along the rail corridor, in an existing underground conduit. The conduit runs adjacent to and in the vicinity of the Midland Line PSP, between Claisebrook and Bassendean Station. The work involves minor excavation and trenching works to create access pits to the conduit.
The work will take around two months to complete and is scheduled to start this week. Work will take place during standard construction hours of 7am to 7pm Monday to Saturday. Completion is due late July 2020.
Traffic management will be in place to ensure safety and minimise disruption to PSP users.
