Briefing Sessions, Ordinary Council meetings and Committee meetings scheduled from March 2022 to be held online until further notice.

The state of emergency declared by the WA Government in March 2020 due to the coronavirus pandemic still remains in place. Amendments to the Local Government (Administration) Regulations 1996 were passed by Parliament on 25 March 2020 and came into force on 26 March 2020. The amendments mean local governments can hold electronic Council and Committee meetings during a public health emergency, and the public can be requested to submit their questions and statements prior to the meeting.

The recording of Briefing Sessions and Council meetings will be made available on the Town’s website after following the meetings.  These meetings are also live-streamed on the Town’s YouTube channel https://www.youtube.com/channel/UC46mMs3D7vmHuO0ePibihhg

Public participation time will still occur during these electronic meetings.

Questions and statements submitted will be read out by the Presiding Member.

Deputations for meetings can also be submitted and when approved, you will be invited to join the meeting online by Microsoft Teams.

Please visit About Council Meetings » Town of Bassendean to submit any questions, statements and deputations. These are to be provided to the Town by 12pm on the day of the meeting.
