Techniques to keep you mentally healthy including a experiential ‘Five Senses Grounding Exercise’
This workshop will cover:
- What is good mental health? Learning to be ourselves compassionately and kindly no matter what our feelings might be & normalising the range of emotional responses.
- The idea of resilience; why It is not necessary to be positive all the time to have good mental health.
- How to know when we aren’t doing so well, self-assessment of our own level of coping.
- Steps we can take to improve our level of functioning.
The Five Senses Grounding Session will cover:
- An experiential exercise, dropping anchor/grounding/mindfulness to the present moment,
- Learning not to attach to our thinking
- A debrief, taking notice of feelings after exercise
