CORPORATE COMMUNICATIONS COORDINATOR

Full-Time, 12-Month Contract

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic and suitably experienced Communication Coordinator to join our Governance team.

Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer, this position is be responsible for:

  • Proactively developing and delivering the Town’s internal and external communication strategies.
  • Facilitating community engagement with local residents, businesses and key stakeholders in the Town.
  • Implementing and coordinating community engagement forums, activities and events.
  • Implementing strategies to enable and encourage relevant groups, and other interested and affected parties, to actively participate in dealing with specific issues, as well as the future strategic direction of Town.


The successful candidate will have:

  • Tertiary qualifications in marketing, communications, public relations or journalism with demonstrated experience in this field.
  • Demonstrated experience in delivering community engagement and project communication strategies.
  • Demonstrated experience in use of a range of marketing and social media tools as part of developing and executing a robust communication strategy.
  • Highly developed project management skills including the demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a timely manner.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop engagement and communication strategies, recognising communication challenges, target audiences, key messages, strategic approach, tactics and times line.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills including researching, writing, editing, proofreading for a range of projects and audiences and liaising at all levels.


Salary and Benefits

Salary range of up to $104,775 per annum (dependent on previous experience), plus up to 14.5% superannuation*, 17.5% leave loading. The Town also offers flexible working hours with a nineteen-day working month, free parking, ongoing training and personal development, and two additional holiday days per calendar year.
