Dandjoo Koorliny Reconciliation Gathering

Thursday 24th May 2018

The Town of Bassendean will be holding its fourth Dandjoo Koorliny Reconciliation Gathering at Mary Crescent Reserve (Cnr Gallagher and Kirke Street) Eden Hill from 10am to 1pm on Thursday 24 May 2018.

The event, part of National Reconciliation Week, is focused on celebrating and showcasing Aboriginal culture and people in the Town of Bassendean to the wider community.

Featured at the event will be dance, songs and story telling from Noongar performers, local schools and local community members.  There will be a performance of Aboriginal dance, with opportunities for audience participation.  There will also be art and cultural activities.

While there will be a focus on educating and connecting with the school students in attendance, it is a free community event and all Bassendean residents are encouraged to attend and enjoy the activities and atmosphere.
