Illegal dumping

Some people illegally dump rubbish around the Town to save themselves a trip to the tip or the cost of tip charges. Therefore, they dump rubbish on our reserves and roads.

People reporting this need to provide as much detail as possible (ie. registration numbers, description of offender and passengers).

If enough concrete evidence of the offender is gathered, the ranger will issue an infringement if insufficient reasons are given for the littering.

The offenders will also be advised that they are required to clean up the rubbish. An offence is committed if this is not complied with and a penalty of $200 will apply.
