Art and photography exhibitions merge for 2010
As part of a recent review of the Town’s Arts Exhibition and Photographic Exhibition, Council resolved to merge the two events, with the first of the combined events proposed to be held in 2010.
As such, the Photographic Exhibition scheduled for this year will be suspended to be included in the 2010 Art and Photography Exhibition. The new combined event is a very exciting initiative with more prize money and greater exposure which will aim to attract artists and photographers of all calibre to participate.
The Town is also keen to hear from interested community members who would like to be a part of the planning team for the new event. This is a great opportunity to gain experience in the hanging of artwork and assisting with the overall staging of the event.
For more information or to register on the Town’s mailing list for this event please contact the Town’s Cultural Development Officers Jacqui Otago on 9377 8060 or jotago@bassendean.wa.gov.au or Gabriella Filippi on 9377 8020 or gfilippi@bassendean.wa.gov.au.
