The role of the Corporate Services Business Unit is to meet the needs of all customers, the community and the Town's residents. Corporate Services aligns all service standards as outlined in the Customer Charter.
The primary functions of the team encompass:
Client Support
- Inbound calls
- Customer facing service at the Customer Service Centre located at 35 Old Perth Road
- Responding to requests for information and advice from the community and residents on services provided by the Town including:
- Hall and Facility booking management
- Leisure course booking management
- Rates accounts advice
- Settlement Agents' requests for information as part of property settlement
- Register of Customer Requests, Compliments and Complaints.

Corporate Support
- Debtor Management
- Creditor Management including payment to Service Providers and Councillors
- Receipting and associated banking responsibility of payments (rates, building, planning, leisure courses, cultural events, dog registration, infringements and similar)
- Human Resources specialist support to the business units
- Payroll
- Records Management
- Administrative functions, including:
- Mail-out preparation to community and residents
- Bassendean Office Gazette (BOG) employee newsletter
- Stationery purchase coordination for the business units
- Mail distribution, incoming/outgoing for the business units
- Planning and Building administrative support.
