Youth Services
Bassendean Youth Services offers a range of structured and unstructured programs for young people in the 12 - 25 age range. These include recreational activities, support services and referral to specialist agencies.
The purpose of contact between staff and young people is to empower young people to develop and enhance their skills, knowledge, understandings and attitudes which are beneficial to themselves, as both individuals and as members of society.
Things To Do
Drop In
Bassendean Youth Services offers drop in sessions to young people giving them the opportunity to use the centre's facilities (computers, X Box, video, table tennis, and skate ramps. Youth workers are onsite at all times and are available to offer assistance, information, support and referrals.
YAC
The Bassendean Youth Advisory Council is represented by young people aged 12-21 years who live, work, study or recreate in Bassendean, Ashfield and Eden Hill. YAC members have the opportunity to participate in organising youth events and provide feedback and advocacy to all levels of Government.
RAP
The Resources for Adolescents and Parents Program is a youth and family program which offers individual counselling for young people on issues such as self-esteem, depression, abuse, peer or family conflict etc.
