Seniors and Disabilities
Ashfield Community Centre
The Town of Bassendean Seniors & Disability Services provides in-home, community and centre based services to assist people who are frail aged or have disabilities to continue living at home.
We also provide respite for their carers through the Home & Community Care (HACC) Program. Assistance to mange their complex care needs is available through the Community Aged Care Packages (CACP) program.
Services
The Seniors & Disability Services provides:
- Adult Day Centre activities for all eligible and interested clients.
- Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander services - including day activities as well as social support, transport and assistance with personal care and family issues.
- Community Aged Care Packages - in-home and community services for people aged 70+who have complex health conditions and need more intensive support to stay at home.
- Home and Community Care including Domestic Assistance, Personal Care, Social Support, Home Maintenance, Transport, Meals on Wheels and respite for carers.
- Twice weekly podiatry service for eligible older residents of the Town.
- Specific short term funded projects such as 'Access Makes Cent$'.
