Ranger Services
Experienced rangers work to improve the safety of the community by patrolling the Town for unsupervised animals, enforcing car-parking regulations, particularly during major events, and minimising danger and nuisance.
Stray dogs
The Town's Ranger Service is responsible for the impounding of stray dogs. All dogs are impounded at the RSPCA and can be collected between 10am and 4pm seven days a week. Your dog must be registered before you can collect it.
Fire hazards
Rangers are also responsible for ensuring the Town is free of fire hazards all year round. Annual inspections are carried out to ensure all properties comply by 31 October each year. For further advice on how to protect your home contact the Ranger.
