BASSENDEAN YOUTH ADVISORY COUNCIL MEETING

HELD AT BASSENDEAN YOUTH SERVICES

CORNER WEST AND GUILDFORD ROADS, BASSENDEAN

ON TUESDAY, 9 JUNE 2009 AT 5.32PM

1.0 DECLARATION OF OPENING/ANNOUNCEMENT OF VISITORS

Chris Hall volunteered to be Chairperson. He opened the meeting at 5.32pm and welcomed everyone.

4.1 Minutes of the Bassendean Youth Advisory Council held on 5 May 2009

MOVED Kris Bird, Seconded Jack Delany, that the minutes of the Bassendean Youth Advisory Council meeting held on 5 May 2009 be confirmed as a true record.

5.0 WORKSHOP TOPIC

5.1 Physical Activity Plan

The Bassendean Youth Advisory Council participated in the Physical Activity Plan being conducted by Stoneham and Associates.

7.0 REPORTS

7.1 Graffiti Forum

The Manager Youth Services, Greg Neri, and the Youth Development Officer, Ayden Mackenzie, informed the Youth Advisory Council that they attended the Graffiti Forum hosted by the Office of Crime Prevention at the Perth Convention Centre held on 4 June 2009.

The YAC was informed that the forum included sessions such as Engaging Young People, Designing out Graffiti, Supporting Local Governments and Communities; the Importance of Education in Graffiti Prevention and information on Sanctions and Enforcements.
