NOTICE OF A SPECIAL COUNCIL MEETING
Dear Council Member
A Special Meeting of the Council of the Town of Bassendean will be held in accordance with Section 5.4(a) of the Local Government Act 1995, in the Council Chamber, 48 Old Perth Road, Bassendean, on Tuesday 3 March 2009, commencing at 10.00pm.
The purpose of the meeting is to discuss submitting a funding proposal under Federal Government’s Strategic Infrastructure Funding Programme.

5.1 Federal Government’s Strategic Infrastructure Funding Programme
The CEO presented Council with an outline of the proposed, and using the costing contained within that report, as the basis for an application to the Federal Government’s Strategic Infrastructure Funding programme.
Council is requested to consider submitting a funding proposal requesting that $16,000,000 be considered for the construction of the Civic Building, as contained in the Town Centre Area Strategy, under the Federal Government’s Strategic Infrastructure Funding Programme.
The CEO will provide additional information at the meeting.

Members of the public who did not ask questions in Part One of Public Question Time will be heard first.
